Lucas is a Geologist, and has been with Mashamba Geo-Environmental
Consultants Pty Limited (MGEC) and is responsible for MGEC’s mining &
geological, geo-environmental, geochemial, geo-hydrological, surface
water and drilling services. Lucas has over 9 years working experience
within the mining, hydrogeology, Groundwater supply, Geochemistry,
Geophysics and geo-technical engineering fields.
His career began in 2010 after completing his BSc (honours) in Geology,
as a graduate geologist at African Mineral Standards (AMIS). This is the
period where Lucas was exposed to work such as core logging, managing
drilling and testing contractors. He conducted a lot of successful
geophysical investigation with a special focus on Electromagnetic,
Magnetic, Resistivity and Gravity methods for groundwater exploration
purposes. This also includes during his tenure at the Council for
Geoscience (CGS), SGS - Environmental, and Corobrik.

BSc Natural Sciences
BSc (honours) Geology
MSc Geology (Environmnetal Geochemistry) - Acid mine Drainage in
coalfields.
